Artist Studio
Cave Creek, AZ | Estimated completion 2015
This multi-functional artist studio has been designed to accommodate the needs of a couple that paint, sculpt, and fabricate. Smoke Tree Residence
Palm Springs, CA | Estimated completion 2015
Demolition of the existing house began in November 2014, leaving only the fireplace and chimney standing. The redesign of this California ranch references materials and techniques used on other homes in this historic community, but adds contemporary elements to adapt with the living standards of today. The rear covered patio courtyard frames views of the Santa Rosa Mountains while providing shade during the intense desert sun. With the completion of construction, the residents should be living in their new home by the end of August 2015. Artist Studio
El Segundo, CA | Completed 2012
This loft was designed to function as an apartment dwelling for the ‘resident artist’ at the El Segundo Museum of Art. The layout features a compact kitchenette and bathroom in order to maximize the working space for each artist to customize the studio to fit their needs. Floor to ceiling windows were used to highlight the 12 foot ceilings, flooding the space with an abundance of natural light. The roof terrace provides the resident with an additional exterior lounge and dining area with a grill and sink for entertaining guests. Santa Barbara Residence
Santa Barbara, CA | Completed 2015
The owners' desire to add a private theater to their home spurred extensive renovations to this existing residence. The new home theater brings state-of-the-art technologies into the comfort of their own home. Located off of an existing library, the theater's double shell construction prevents the transfer of sound to and from the other spaces. To accommodate the theater, a guest suite is updated and expanded, including its own sitting room and full bathroom. A new trellis connects the guest suite to the completely renovated pool area, with split-level pool, outdoor kitchen, and seating areas from which one can enjoy the expansive ocean views.
