We are a full service architecture firm with offices in Rancho Mirage and El Segundo, California

Santa Monica Residence

Santa Monica, CA | Completed 2020

A small, outdated bungalow was transformed into a two-story, light-filled home. With Spanish Colonial influences, traditional materials and architectural elements are made modern with clean, simple lines. Arches are used to frame specific views and spaces throughout. Immediately upon entering the arched front door, a two-and-a-half story foyer featuring a custom ridge skylight, arched clerestory windows, and custom wraparound staircase welcomes the owners and guests, setting the tone for the rest of the house.

Artist Studio

El Segundo, CA | Completed 2012

This loft was designed to function as an apartment dwelling for the ‘resident artist’ at the El Segundo Museum of Art. The layout features a compact kitchenette and bathroom in order to maximize the working space for each artist to customize the studio to fit their needs. Floor to ceiling windows were used to highlight the 12 foot ceilings, flooding the space with an abundance of natural light. The roof terrace provides the resident with an additional exterior lounge and dining area with a grill and sink for entertaining guests. Smoke Tree Residence

Palm Springs, CA | Estimated completion 2015

Demolition of the existing house began in November 2014, leaving only the fireplace and chimney standing. The redesign of this California ranch references materials and techniques used on other homes in this historic community, but adds contemporary elements to adapt with the living standards of today. The rear covered patio courtyard frames views of the Santa Rosa Mountains while providing shade during the intense desert sun. With the completion of construction, the residents should be living in their new home by the end of August 2015. This multi-functional artist studio has been designed to accommodate the needs of a couple that paint, sculpt, and fabricate. Located on a small ridge above their existing house, the program is faced towards mountain and desert views with floor to ceiling glazing. Exaggerated roof overhangs were strategically implemented to provide shade during the most intense sunlight of the year. Construction is scheduled to begin in March...Check our website periodically to see updates throughout the process.
